The whole poster is a lie! Or yes, little. Stockholm actually celebrates 700 years in 1952 and not 1953. But Helsinki (not Helsinkki, the city is founded by Swedes for the humpback) would have really had the 1940 Olympics. OS. Then Stockholm was so busy so they moved the anniversary for a year so that there was no competition for the tourists. Otherwise, Helsinki would not have received a single tourist that summer, you guess.
Anyway, Curt Blixt won an invitation contest with his wonderful Mälard Queen . He received money and it was SEK 3000, which alone went directly to the cash register, in addition to a visit to Riche which he had promised to his best friends, if he were to win. Curt himself fell asleep in a corner but was awakened when the bill came!

Curt Vilhelm Blixt, born September 16 in Gustav Vasa, Stockholm City, Uppland, died November 11 2010, Skärholmen, Stockholm City, Södermanland
Hans-Erik was a Swedish artist
Curt Blixt went the long way with evening courses at Konstfack and working as an engraver in the days. After Konstfack he was hired as an illustrator at Esselte. Curt was a god-blessed illustrator who delivered everything from book covers to Evert Taube to selling packaging without apparent effort. He was recognized for his skill in winning the poster competition for the celebration of Stockholm's 700th anniversary. He received SEK 3,000 for the inconvenience. Most went to the household checkout, but Blixt also had the opportunity to invite his friends to a full evening at Riche!
