Lars Carlsson
Lars Axel Carlsson, born November 3, 1921 in Falköping, Västergötland, died December 18, 2002 in Sävare, Lidköping, Västergötland. Lars was a Swedish illustrator, best known for his large production of Christmas cards and other greeting cards. He has also illustrated and written children's books with Christmas themes.

Lars Carlsson was born in Västergötland and grew up in Dalarna. He started his career as a running boy and got temporary work as a decorator.
He then got employment as a porcelain decorator at Rörstrand's porcelain factory. [2] He began painting Christmas cards in the late 1940s.
In older days he lived in Arvika and together with his friend Kalle. Lars donated a large part of his original pictures to Arvika municipality in 2000. After his friend Kalle's death, he moved to Lidköping where his closest relatives were.
The publishing rights for most of his images are held by the Hedlund Group.
